At Body Fit Physiotherapy, we have a particular interest in cardiac rehabilitation and preventative programs. We’ve worked extensively with the Royal Adelaide Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital to optimise our programs for the management of cardiac conditions in the community.

 

Our Services Include: 

 

Cardiac Assessment & Review

  • Baseline outcome measures are taken

  • A tailored exercise program is provided

  • Education components, including:

    • The National Heart Foundation Recommendations

    • Advice on exercising safely

    • Guidance on how to progress your exercise program

    • Information on how to monitor your exercise program’s intensity

  • An update of your progress is provided to your referring doctor

  • As a result of the consult, you have another point of contact for further questions and professional guidance

  • Regular review and re-assessment of outcome measures

 

Cardiac Rehabilitation Class

 

Conducted in the Rehabilitation Gym and will include the following:

  • Participation in a small group class allowing for the appropriate level of supervision and the ability for clients to ask questions as required

  • Continued education is performed during sessions

  • An individual program is designed for each client

  • Each client is provided with a heart rate monitor during the class, allowing them to be constantly monitored

  • Heart rate monitoring throughout sessions ensures you are working at the desired level and maximising obtained results

  • Class environment creates team morale and increased drive to exercise and reach individual goals
